This Is Lorelei

This Is Lorelei is the songwriting outlet of New York musician Nate Amos, also half of Water From Your Eyes. Since the mid-2010s he has been quietly sharing home-recorded songs that move between guitar pop, lo-fi indie and folk, with occasional experimental turns. The common thread is a clear melodic line, flexible arrangements and a way of shifting familiar forms without losing their simplicity. After years of low‑key releases, the project reached a wider audience with Box for Buddy, Box for Star (2024), followed by US and European tours, while artists like MJ Lenderman and Snail Mail reinterpreted some of the songs. Holo Boy (2025) revisits pieces written between 2014 and 2021, linking several writing periods around a cleaner, guitar-led sound.

On 22 November 2026 at Band on the Wall in Manchester, This Is Lorelei brings a set that weaves new material with reworked older tracks, balancing acoustic and electric guitars, subtle rhythmic pivots and lean, direct melodies.
