The Dead South return to Cambridge Corn Exchange in Cambridge on 1 September 2026 with their taut blend of bluegrass, folk and western. The Canadian quartet keep to a clear line: banjo rolls and quick mandolin tremolos set against guitar and cello, tight three-part harmonies and songs that orbit classic themes — murder ballads, betrayal, ghosts — served with a dry grin. On stage, Nate Hilts, Scott Pringle, Colton Crawford and Danny Kenyon trade leads, stack voices and push tempos while keeping melodies front and centre. The set draws from early cuts through the era of In Hell I’ll Be in Good Company, shaped live with the rhythmic snap and close-up dynamics that define their shows.
