Info
A founding half of Tír na nÓg, Dublin songwriter and guitarist Leo O’Kelly brings the duo’s songbook back to the stage, solo, at MOTH Club in London on 27 June 2026. With Sonny Condell, O’Kelly left Dublin for London in 1970, landing a deal with Chrysalis within weeks and carving a place on the folk circuit while sharing bills with Jethro Tull, The Who and ELP. Their early recordings, cut with producer Bill Leader, defined an acoustic weave of guitars and close harmonies that carried through tours across Britain, Europe and the US before the pair paused the project mid-seventies.
Alongside his production and solo work, O’Kelly has kept returning to that catalogue, sometimes dedicating whole nights to Tír na nÓg material. This Féile MOTH date focuses on that legacy: songs from the self-titled debut and beyond, played in a stripped-down, intimate form. The set draws on early pieces like Daisy Lady alongside other staples from the duo’s repertoire, revisited by one of its original voices.
