Afroheat — Before Afronation w/ Afro B + guest surprise

Afroheat — Before Afronation takes over Les Folies Pigalle in Paris on Saturday 16 May 2026, for a night dedicated to the aesthetics of afrobeat, amapiano, dancehall and hip‑hop.

Afro B leads the way. Born in Greenwich to Ivorian and Akan roots, he first honed his instincts behind the turntables of London clubs before imposing his signature “Afrowave,” a mix of pop melodies, afrobeats and dancehall inflections. Carried by the track “Drogba (Joanna),” his repertoire slips between sung choruses, elastic grooves and formats designed for live performance, with a relationship to rhythm inherited from his years as a DJ.

An Ivorian guest will appear as a surprise to extend the echo between London and Abidjan. Their identity will be kept secret until the evening, promising a stage presence anchored in afropop and afrobeats.

On the decks, DJ Dollar, Ginger Boy and Don Massimo string together selections of afrobeat, amapiano and dancehall, while Sopprise takes the mic as master of ceremonies to maintain the link between each highlight. This lineup stages a dialogue between the British and West African scenes, with one common thread: dance.
