Info
On 10 May 2026, Yellow Days lands at Gorilla in Manchester. The project of George van den Broek, born in Haslemere, has been weaving soul, psychedelic R&B and indie rock since the mid-2010s, with a lo‑fi grain and a voice that leans rough and tender. First noticed through self-released tracks, he broke through with the 2016 EP Harmless Melodies and the song Gap in the Clouds, setting a tone built on 60s/70s rhythm and blues harmonies and woozy keys.
His debut album Is Everything Okay in Your World? (2017) fixed the focus on inner weather, relationships and the long tail of adolescence. A Day in a Yellow Beat (2020) pushed into fuller arrangements and more driven grooves, while Inner Peace (2023) tightened the hybrid sound, split between home recordings and band sessions.
On stage, Yellow Days stretches these tracks with a live formation that leans into the soul core: warm bass, Rhodes haze, psych guitar lines and room for improvised turns. The set moves from slow-burn ballads to head‑nod rhythms, revisiting early cuts and later material with updated textures and space to breathe.
