Basht. play Gorilla in Manchester on 29 October 2026. Led by vocalist Jack Leavey, the Dublin five-piece sits between alternative rock and guitar-driven indie, where melodic lines meet saturated textures and tight rhythms. On stage, Sam Duffy and Rossa Healy load the set with dense riffs and interlocking leads, grounded by Louis Christle on bass and Luke O’Neill on drums, for a sound that moves from tense to reflective without losing focus.

Shaped by steady touring across Ireland, the UK and Europe, including supports for Wunderhorse, Been Stellar and Goo Goo Dolls, the band treats volume and dynamics as part of the writing. The first EP, Dirty White Lies, sketched the blueprint; Bitter & Twisted (Lab Records, 2025) refines it around guitars, contrasts and clear melodies.

At Gorilla, the set leans on that balance: raw guitars against tuneful vocals, punchy bursts giving way to slow-burn passages, with Leavey’s voice cutting through. Songs are built for the room, trading polish for presence and letting the edges stay audible.
