Future Palace bring their post-hardcore blend to Manchester Academy on 5 November 2026. The Berlin trio — vocalist Maria Lessing, guitarist Manuel Kohlert and drummer Johannes Früchtenicht — mix metalcore grit, alternative rock and electronic textures, shifting between heavy passages and more melodic sections, clean lines and harsh vocals. Formed in the late 2010s, they refined this palette across their albums Escape (2020) and Run (2022) on Arising Empire.
Their writing addresses mental health, conflict in relationships and personal reconstruction, with lyrics that leave room for ambivalence. Live, these contrasts structure the set: impact and release, density and openness, guitars locking in with synth layers to frame Maria Lessing’s voice.
Special guests Luna Kills and Defences open the night.
