Weatherday returns to Leeds on 30 May 2026 at Belgrave Music Hall. Born in the online DIY sphere, the Swedish project centres the writing of Lola, also known as Sputnik, and folds lo‑fi, emo and shoegaze into a noise‑pop palette. The songs favour long, shifting forms: layered guitars, saturated textures, clipped drums and filtered vocals that slip from fragile melodies to blown‑out bursts, with abrupt transitions and non‑linear structures anchoring the mood.

On stage, Weatherday plays as a band led by Sputnik, pushing the bedroom aesthetic into something more physical. Sudden gear changes, jagged rhythms and feedback swells give way to quieter pockets where the hooks breathe. Tracks from the self‑produced album Come In (2019) cross paths with newer material, including the denser, post‑rock‑leaning approach explored on the 2022 collaboration Weatherglow. The set leans into contrast and texture, balancing playful detours with a direct emotional line, and turning intimate sketches into a live show that stays urgent and unpredictable.
