Haircut 100

On 10 May 2026 at the Pavilion Theatre in Glasgow, Haircut 100 bring their sharp, rhythmic pop back to the stage. Formed in Beckenham at the start of the 80s, the group shaped a bright blend of new wave, new pop, jazz-funk and Brit-funk: clean guitars, elastic bass lines, sax hooks and nimble percussion. Frontman and songwriter Nick Heyward leads alongside Les Nemes, Graham Jones and Blair Cunningham, with Phil Smith and Marc Fox on sax and percussion.

The band first broke through with a run of 1981-82 singles and the album Pelican West (1982). Songs like Love Plus One, Favourite Shirts (Boy Meets Girl) and Fantastic Day still frame their identity, tuneful and driven by groove. After mid-80s changes and years apart, Haircut 100 have been back onstage since 2023 with Heyward, Nemes, Jones and Cunningham reunited. This date revisits a catalogue where melodic pop meets tight, danceable rhythms, echoing the energy that made their early material stand out.
