The Swedish singer-songwriter has built a singular space where nylon‑string guitar, precise fingerpicking and a calm, close-mic voice carry songs that draw as much from Nordic folk as from Latin roots and 90s indie. Since Veneer in 2003, with its intimate originals and his now-classic take on Heartbeats, he’s refined a writing style that balances melody and pulse: In Our Nature pushed the minimalism a notch deeper, while Vestiges & Claws opened up a more rhythmic, percussive approach on the guitar. With Local Valley in 2021, he wove Spanish and Swedish lyrics into that same warm grain, without losing the clarity of his arpeggios.
