Example plays The Great Hall, Cardiff, on 19 May 2026. Behind the mic is Elliot John Gleave, aka Example, a British singer, rapper and producer who came up in mid-2000s London with a hybrid of UK rap, hip house and punchy electronic pop, where spoken verses switch with sung choruses. After early independent singles and debut album What We Made, he pivoted toward the dancefloor with Won’t Go Quietly, a direction he carried through Playing in the Shadows and The Evolution of Man, tightening his sound alongside UK electronic figures like Sub Focus and Nero.
