Info
Born in the Scottish Highlands and now based in Glasgow, Tide Lines bring their blend of folk rock, melodic pop and Celtic roots to Mandela Hall in Belfast on 21 May 2026. Led by singer Robert Robertson, with Alasdair Turner, Ross Wilson and Fergus Munro, the quartet writes songs marked by coastal landscapes and small-town life from the north, mixing English lyrics with occasional Gaelic elements. Their debut album, Dreams We Never Lost (2017), set the framework: electric guitars and keyboards meeting folk textures within concise, contemporary song forms. Eye of the Storm (2020) pushed the melodic line with direct vocals and more assertive arrangements, while An Ocean Full of Islands (2023) continued to explore themes of memory, travel and community ties across Scotland and beyond. On stage, Tide Lines move between intimate storytelling and driving folk-rock momentum, shaping a set that draws from their three albums, with clear, singable melodies and arrangements that balance modern polish with a grounded, local pulse.
