Sierra Ferrell brings her Heavy Petal Tour to Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow on 25 June 2026. Raised in West Virginia and shaped by years of busking and small-room gigs across the U.S., she folds traditional country, folk and old-time into arrangements touched by bluegrass, jazz and swing. Her repertoire leans on acoustic textures, tight vocal parts and a taste for classic song forms, with stories that move from slow ballads and waltzes to more driving tempos. Since joining Rounder Records, she has refined that palette on Long Time Coming (2021) and Trail of Flowers (2024), two albums that anchor a set already well tested on the road. On stage, the core often centers around fiddle, guitar and upright bass, leaving room for phrasing and rhythmic bounce without overplaying the edges. The Heavy Petal Tour draws on both records and earlier material, keeping a foot in Americana tradition while opening a space for personal writing and close-up storytelling.
