Wolf Alice

Wolf Alice bring their shape-shifting indie rock to Custom House Square in Belfast on 29 August 2026. Formed in London in 2010 by Ellie Rowsell and Joff Oddie, later joined by Joel Amey and Theo Ellis, the quartet navigates between lingering folk traces, dream-pop haze, shoegaze density and a sharper alt-rock edge. Early EPs Blush (2013) and Creature Songs (2014) set the tone with abrasive guitars offset by airy passages and a clear melodic line.

Their debut album My Love Is Cool (2015) opened the catalogue, followed by Visions of a Life (2017), Blue Weekend (2021) and The Clearing (2025), each pushing contrasts and giving Rowsell’s voice more space amid shifting textures. On stage, the band leans into these dynamics, sliding from tense, grunge-leaning riffs to hushed, suspended moments and broader atmospheric builds. Regulars of festival circuits and international tours, they’ve shared bills with The 1975, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age, carrying a sound that moves across scenes without settling in one corner.
