Poison Girl Friend Pop Up + Signing

On May 14, 2026 at Le Système, POiSON GiRL FRiEND hosts a pop-up and signing — a low-key moment to browse a curated selection of merchandise and meet her in person. No live set here, just time to talk, pick up items, and get them signed.

Behind the alias is Noriko Sekiguchi, a Tokyo-based musician, producer, singer and DJ who first appeared in the early 90s with The Poison Girl Friends before taking the name solo. Her music slips between dream pop, synth-pop, trip-hop, ambient and soft-focus techno, with hushed textures, floating melodies and the occasional wink to French pop. Key releases like the 1991 mini-album POiSON GiRL FRiENDS, Melting Moment (1992), Shyness and Mr. Polyglot Remix (1993) and Love Me (1994) traced a singular path, alongside collaborations with Momus, Simon Fisher Turner and the Balanescu Quartet — close to Shibuya-kei in spirit without being boxed in by it.

After projects as Dark Eyed Kid and Kiss-O-Matic, she revived POiSON GiRL FRiEND with rondoElectro (2014) and das Gift (2018), while keeping a steady DJ presence in Tokyo and on the airwaves, including an NTS residency since 2023. This pop-up is a straightforward chance to connect with her work up close and take something home, signed.
