Info
Dean Brody and The Reklaws bring the Hometown Heroes Tour to Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on November 28, 2026.
Dean Brody hails from British Columbia and writes country songs rooted in everyday stories, acoustic textures and contemporary production. After time in Nashville as a songwriter, he emerged with Brothers and a self-titled debut in 2009, followed by Trail in Life, Dirt, Crop Circles, Gypsy Road and Beautiful Freakshow. More recent releases include the Black Sheep EP, Boys and Right Round Here, with a catalogue where guitars, strong refrains and rural themes stay central. Along the way, he has multiplied collaborations across the Canadian country scene, including with The Reklaws and Jade Eagleson.
The Reklaws are sibling duo Jenna and Stuart Walker from North Dumfries, Ontario. Their country pop balances bright melodies with a roots backdrop, written for two voices out front. Active since 2012, they moved from local stages and a Boots and Hearts win in 2013 to the EPs Long Live the Night and Feels Like That, then the albums Freshman Year, Sophomore Slump and Good Ol’ Days. Regular collaborators, they’ve teamed with Dean Brody on Can’t Help Myself, as well as Sacha, Jake Owen and Drake Milligan. A 2023 live release and the 2024 EP Outliving (For Mom) close the loop to date.
