Kiesza

Kiesza brings her club-minded pop to The Academy in Dublin on June 5, 2026. Born in Calgary and trained across dance, the Canadian navy and music studies, she forged a sound that leans on 90s house, pop hooks and R&B textures, with a clear footing in the dancefloor. Hideaway in 2014 pulled her onto international radar, followed by the debut album Sound of a Woman where glossy ballads met straight-up dance tracks. Along the way, she wrote for others and teamed up with electronic and pop heavyweights like Jack Ü and Duran Duran, sharpening a craft that sits comfortably between radio melody and club pulse.

A serious car accident in 2017 paused everything; recovery reshaped her pace but not her focus. She returned with Crave in 2020, more introspective in tone yet still built on direct structures and hard-hitting rhythms. On stage, that mix translates into agile vocals, percussive grooves and a kinetic approach informed by her dance background. Between early hits, deep house influences and newer material, Kiesza lines up a set that moves from sing-along pop to late-night energy without losing clarity.
