Info
Shoegaze and hardcore punk meet one evening: on 23 June 2026 the American bands Nothing and Haywire will play at Klub Zaścianek in Kraków. The collision of hazy, guitar-driven soundscapes with the direct energy of hardcore promises a solid dose of emotion.
Nothing is the project of Domenic “Nicky” Palermo, active for more than 15 years and steadily developing its own take on shoegaze. From The Great Dismal (2020) to the collaborative album with Full of Hell, When No Birds Sang (2023), the band blends massive walls of guitars, melancholic melodies and hushed vocals, regularly translating this atmosphere to the stage. In February 2026 Nothing returned with the full-length A Short History of Decay — a record that favors more direct, intimate forms and presents the band in a focused, raw light.
Haywire are Boston hardcore without metal embellishments, firmly rooted in the punk tradition. They debuted with the album Conditioned for Demolition and also have an EP and two splits to their name, including this year’s release with Dropkick Murphys. Live they rely on fast tempos, tight riffs, pronounced breakdowns and room for a mosh — straightforward, loud and to the point.
