Info
Houndmouth brings The Lordy Tour to History Ottawa, Ottawa, on September 4, 2026. Formed in 2011 in New Albany, Indiana, the band sharpened its sound between the Indiana and Louisville scenes, mixing americana, alt‑country, folk rock and indie rock. Their songs lean on earthy guitars, spare keyboards, an easy collective groove and close harmonies that slide between country colors, rock drive and a hint of soul. After a self‑titled EP in 2012 and a buzz‑making turn at SXSW, they signed to Rough Trade, releasing From the Hills Below the City in 2013, then Little Neon Limelight in 2015 with the track Sedona. A lineup shift preceded Golden Age in 2018, and the group has since moved forward around Matt Myers, Caleb Hickman and Zac Anderson. Written during the pandemic and recorded back home in New Albany, the 2021 album Good for You extended their taste for everyday storytelling, road‑worn rock and folk textures. On stage, Houndmouth threads their catalog with unhurried dynamics, trading vocals and guitar lines that keep the songs loose, melodic and lived‑in. Expect a set that reaches from early material to recent cuts, with that blend of narrative lyrics and open‑road arrangements that defines their identity.
