Info
Revealed by Star Academy 2024–2025, Charles Doré moves between French chanson and vocal pop with direct songwriting and clear melodies. A Breton, trained outside the usual music circuits, he relies on a path marked by detours and tenacity to shape tracks such as “Je pars mais je reste” and “Si demain tout s’arrête.” His deep, supple voice brings the lyrics to the forefront, with a taste for vocal-driven songs and straightforward choruses, somewhere in the lineage of Balavoine, Polnareff, or Pagny.
At the Gérard Peron Complex in Ferques on 29 May 2026, he presented a set centered on his early pieces and a few carefully chosen covers, in a simple staging that leaves room for timbre and words. The show reflected the tension between fragility and intensity that has marked his path — a way of getting straight to the emotion without overstating it. The concert was conceived as an encounter, where the sincerity of the message and the energy of the live performance take over with quiet restraint.
