Les musiques de John Williams et Hans Zimmer

New program. The symphonic concert "The Music of John Williams and Hans Zimmer" returns in February and March 2027. At Amphithéâtre 3000 in Lyon on 6 February 2027 at 7:30 p.m., rediscover Interstellar, Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, Inception, Star Wars and Pirates of the Caribbean, performed by more than 70 musicians on stage.

Under the direction of conductor Nicolas Simon, the Yellow Socks Orchestra, a French symphony orchestra specializing in film music, performs live scores by these two composers. John Williams left his mark on film music from the 1970s onward, notably with E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws and Indiana Jones. Hans Zimmer developed a style that blends orchestration and electronic sounds, with notable collaborations on The Dark Knight, Inception, Interstellar and Gladiator.

The composers will not be present on stage. The Yellow Socks Orchestra will perform their works under Nicolas Simon’s direction.

Nicolas Simon has been principal conductor of the Orchestre de Caen since September 2020, founder and musical director of Symphonie de Poche and Philharmonicoeur, associate conductor of the Orchestre Les Siècles and conductor of the Démos project. The Yellow Socks Orchestra, founded in 2015, takes part in numerous cine-concerts in France, including Jurassic Park, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, La La Land, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings and the Harry Potter saga.
