Borders shape our world. We cross them, we defend them, or we fear them. What is their status? What do they represent? What impact do they have on populations? This temporary exhibition invites visitors to explore what borders are and their effects on our societies. Presented on April 14, 2026 at 8:00 at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie.

Through an immersive route combining maps, photographs, analyses and artworks, the exhibition highlights the diversity of borders — physical or invisible lines, areas of resources, exchange, conflict or peace — and offers a combined scientific, artistic and civic perspective to better understand the world today.
