Bertrand Belin

On May 22, 2026 at Sans Réserve (SMAC de Dordogne) in Périgueux, Bertrand Belin will present a new album and a set that takes his explorations further. The piano asserts itself on several tracks and redistributes the interplay between electronics, guitar and drums, from a more stripped-down and more mobile perspective. Strings sometimes lift the harmony and carry the voice toward shifting atmospheres, between earth and sky. Belin sings more here, his expansive writing opening new paths to a minimalism he continues to refine. The songs probe each person’s place, the gaze, movement, love, attention, impulse and fear, with a gentle tension between the intimate and the collective.

Alix Denavit will open the evening with a folk sound infused with soul and rock, somewhere between Karen Dalton, Moldy Peaches and Cat Power. With a guitar in hand, she alternates between English and French for introspective, direct and sometimes rough music that can move from an electric surge to a quieter intimacy, without losing the clear line of her voice.
