On October 31, 2026, at Interference in Balma, Kery James presents on stage R.A.P – Résistance Amour Poésie, his latest project, alongside his emblematic tracks. Born to Haitian parents and raised between Guadeloupe and Orly, Alix Mathurin was noticed very early: a first verse alongside MC Solaar, the founding of Ideal J, then an anchoring within Mafia K’1 Fry. For nearly three decades he has championed a humanist, committed rap that questions inequalities without giving up its intimate dimension, balancing introspection with social observation.

Surrounded by four musicians, he unfolds a set that blends new compositions and landmark songs, with precise writing, powerful imagery and a measured flow. His approach, extended into theatre and film, feeds a live performance focused on words, their strength and their subtleties. In Balma this clear line is present: resistance, love, poetry. The concert is conceived to traverse his repertoire, from the pen of his beginnings to his recent texts, and to remind why his voice matters in the landscape of French rap.
