On 9 May 2026, Barcelona’s Sala Apolo hosts AV/VA with Ascendant Vierge in a hybrid set, alongside Julietta Ferrari and u.r.trax.
Ascendant Vierge is the duo formed by Brussels vocalist Mathilde Fernandez and French producer Paul Seul (Casual Gabberz). Their terrain sits at the crossroads of high-BPM trance and direct pop melodies, with French lyrics and a timbre that borders on the lyrical. Live, they present a hybrid voice-and-machines set that oscillates between club energy and a certain theatricality. From early tracks like "Influenceur" and "Petit soldat" to the album Une nouvelle chance, their repertoire explores relationships and personal metamorphoses, drawing on rave imagery while maintaining a romantic, dark pulse.
From Paris, u.r.trax arrives with a DJ/producer approach focused on fast, melodic electronic music: hypnotic techno, acidic trance, flashes of electro and breakbeat. Her sets unfold in tense sequences, with long builds and clear drops, combining expressive synth lines with percussive rhythms — a constant back-and-forth between studio and dancefloor.
