Zaoui

Zaoui, the stage name of Raphaël Faget-Zaoui, continues solo the momentum he began with Thérapie Taxi. He delivers French pop that draws on dance and electro, driven by straightforward choruses and a direct spoken-sung delivery. Intimate lyrics, observations of everyday life, and earworm melodies: on stage, the project gains in edge and depth, with an energy close to rock and a genuine sense of one-on-one engagement with the audience.

At the Krakatoa in Mérignac on January 30, 2027, Zaoui presented a set that blended his early material with more recent tracks. The songs from Pulsations — including “Laisse aller ton corps” and “Stigmate” — were mixed with newer singles like “Toxic” and “Chic,” “Xanax mon amour,” and “Love Noir,” a duet with Stéphane. Machines and guitars respond to each other, the rhythms push you to move, and the tracks alternate between nocturnal tension and pop bright spots. Between self-deprecating humor and emotional clarity, Zaoui sharpens his identity and reenacts on stage the blend of frankness and efficiency that has become his hallmark. A concert designed for singing out loud, letting go a little, and being swept away by songs made for the night.
