Hervé Vilard

On February 20, 2027, at the Palais des Congrès et des Expositions in the Bay of Saint-Brieuc, Hervé Vilard returns to the stage with what constitutes the backbone of his career: French chanson rooted in emotion, between romantic ballads and memorable refrains. Discovered in the mid-1960s and propelled by Capri c’est fini in 1965, he quickly shed the yé-yé label to establish a more melodic register, driven by his voice and storytelling.

Over the decades his repertoire has broadened, blending intimate songs with more pop-oriented numbers, often given orchestral arrangements. A fixture on tours, in cabarets and in large venues, he also developed a strong international presence, notably in Spain and Latin America, where he recorded in Spanish and performed regularly. On stage, he moves through these different periods with a direct interpretation that is attentive to the lyrics, relying on songwriting shaped in collaboration with lyricists and composers from the Francophone scene. It is an opportunity to traverse a career that links several generations through well-known songs and more confidential, lesser-known moments.
