Roméo & Juliette

Roméo & Juliette has already brought together more than 11 million spectators worldwide. Translated into 18 languages and performed in 20 countries, the show is part of the French musical theatre tradition. Launched in 2001 at the Palais des Congrès, the production drew nearly 2.5 million spectators. Carried from its inception by the duo Damien Sargue and Cécilia Cara, audiences can still see these performers on stage today.

For Cécilia Cara, returning to Paris with Roméo & Juliette is moving. Chosen at 15 to play Juliet, she reprises the role alongside Damien Sargue, with the experience she has gained over the years. Damien Sargue notes that this role has accompanied him since 2001 and that he approaches it today with greater perspective.

With over 9 million records sold and songs such as "Les Rois du monde" and "Aimer," Roméo & Juliette has left a mark on the history of musical theatre. For nearly 25 years, the show has traveled across cultures and adapted to its times while maintaining its identity: well-known songs, a distinctive stage aesthetic, and a strong sense of spectacle.

For Gérard Presgurvic, Roméo & Juliette poses a topical question: how far are we willing to go for love? Shakespeare answers it with a force that transcends the centuries.
