La Yegros

On April 15, 2027 at Republic Corner in Poitiers, La Yegros presents her hybrid nu-cumbia live. Born in Buenos Aires and dividing her time between the capital and the province of Misiones, the singer became known with Viene de Mi and Chicha Roja. Her songwriting connects cumbia, chamamé and carnavalito with electronic music, infusing touches of reggae, ska, pop and hip‑hop. On stage, synth basslines, Latin percussion and foregrounded vocals come together in a band format that adapts equally well to clubs and concert halls.

Discovered by the ZZK label, she established herself with the albums Viene de mí, Magnetismo and Suelta, conceived for dancing without severing ties to tradition. The set progresses through layered rhythms, breaks and buildups, allowing direct melodies and folkloric motifs to emerge. After more than a decade of touring Europe and Latin America, La Yegros offers a tighter, movement‑oriented show where electronic music intersects with the folklore of Argentina’s littoral. Poitiers will host this nu‑cumbia in its stage version.
