Info
Montreal-based project The Franklin Electric, led by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jon Matte, brings its blend of independent folk and alternative pop to Le Club Dix30 in Brossard on November 22, 2026. Born from Matte’s songs and expanded into a flexible collective, the group crafts piano-led melodies, discreet brass lines and acoustic textures, opening them up with restrained electronics and a solid rhythmic base. On stage, the lineup adapts to the room, moving from close, intimate storytelling to fuller arrangements while keeping the focus on the song.
Since the debut album This Is How I Let You Down (2014) and the follow-up Blue Ceilings (2017), The Franklin Electric has kept exploring across EPs and singles, balancing atmosphere and pulse. The live set draws across that catalogue, where personal writing meets arrangements shaped for a room like Le Club Dix30, giving space for interplay and dynamic shifts. At the center: Jon Matte’s voice and songwriting, and a way of stretching folk structures toward an airy, melodic pop that holds together on record and on stage.
