Superheaven plays Midway Music Hall, Edmonton, on June 5, 2026. Formed in Doylestown, Pennsylvania in 2008 and long known as Daylight, the band sits where alternative rock meets melodic post-hardcore and the heavy haze of ’90s grunge. Thick guitars, slower push-and-pull rhythms and plainspoken vocals set the tone. After early EPs came Jar in 2013 and Ours Is Chrome in 2015 with producer Will Yip. A quieter stretch followed; since 2022 they’ve been back on the road, with new songs like Long Gone and Numb to What Is Real leading to their self-titled 2025 album. On stage, they lean into weight, texture and tightly held tension.
Modern Color brings South Bay DIY roots and a blend of post-hardcore, shoegaze, emo and grunge. The sound favors density: restrained tempos, grainy guitars, direct melodies that bloom without dropping the grit.
All Under Heaven adds a newer wave of shoegaze-leaning emo. Alternative rock, dreamier shades and a constant undercurrent of urgency meet in songs built on contrast, where fuzzy saturation frames clear, melancholic hooks.
