Info
On October 16, 2026, David Walters takes over Cargo de Nuit in Arles. A French-Caribbean singer, beatmaker and multi-instrumentalist, he blends electronic beats, acoustic guitars and Afro-Caribbean influences into a distinctive electro-Creole sound. On stage, his grooves slip between afrobeat and kompa, with hip-hop echoes and stripped-down songs, a voice that moves between French, English and Creole, and a sense of rhythm made for live performance.
Based in Marseille, he has carved a path between club culture and a more intimate approach. Soleil Kréyol (2020) opened an organic, warm vein; Nocturne (2021) explored the acoustic alongside sympathetic musicians; then Bow Down (2022) and Soul Tropical (2023) affirmed this hybrid identity, both rootsy and modern. With “Kité Koulé,” the first single from Ti Love (Heavenly Sweetness), made in collaboration with Keziah Jones, he extends the dialogue between guitars, percussion and warm, rounded basslines.
At Cargo de Nuit, expect a lively set where samples, keyboards, drums and vocals weave hypnotic cycles, without losing sight of clear melodies and singalong choruses that pull the audience in. A compact, precise journey, built to get the room in Arles moving.
