Declan Welsh and The Decadent West are back. The Glasgow band will play at Le Chinois in Montreuil on 22 October 2026 at 6:00 PM, after a period devoted to writing their third album. They return this autumn with a tour to accompany the release of their new record, Explicit Agitation, scheduled for September 2026.
This album is a testament to the present moment. Alongside its political concerns, it explores love, loneliness, loss of faith, and reflects on the role of engaged art. Recorded with Chris Marshall at Castle of Doom Studios, the album’s title announces its intentions.
Led by singer-songwriter Declan Welsh, the band now surrounds itself with a rotating collective of friends and musicians, alongside long-time bassist Ben Corlett.
