Declan Welsh and The Decadent West are back. After a break spent writing their third album, the Glasgow band returns this autumn with more than 25 dates across the UK and Europe, from Saint Luke’s in their hometown to Berlin’s Badehaus, via The Grace in London and Le Ferrailleur in Nantes, to promote their new album Explicit Agitation, which will be released in September 2026.
Led by singer-songwriter Declan Welsh, the group today consists of a revolving lineup of friends and musicians, alongside long-time bassist Ben Corlett. They made their name with energetic live shows and lyrics that are both political and personal. Their debut album, Cheaply Bought, Expensively Sold, was nominated for Scottish Album of the Year. Their second album followed thereafter.
