Pedro Sampaio

Pedro Sampaio, DJ, singer and producer from Rio de Janeiro, builds from percussion: tight drums, short hooks and rhythms drawn straight from baile funk. Since his online edits and remixes in 2017 and his breakthrough with "Sentadão" (2019), he moves smoothly between funk carioca, pop and electronic music. On 1 July 2026 he plays at Melkweg, Amsterdam with a set that collides original tracks, remixes and rapid edits, always with that Brazilian swing at the forefront.

Live, Sampaio works like a conductor behind the decks: tempo changes, call-and-response, drops that carry the crowd and melodies that linger. Material from Chama Meu Nome (2022) and Astro (2024) gets the club treatment, including "Escada do Prédio" with Marina Sena, interspersed with new versions of crowd favorites. After appearances at Rock in Rio and Lollapalooza Brasil he is focusing on one thing: rhythm and movement. Expect a compact, direct show that brings the DNA of baile funk into the room, with pop choruses that keep the whole thing light without losing the punch of the beats.
