Info
The Legend of the Titanic offers an immersive tour dedicated to the history of the ocean liner, to be seen in Paris at the Grande Halle de la Villette from March 31 to August 31. Conceived as a 90-minute experience, the exhibition traces the major stages of the Titanic’s life, from its construction in Belfast to its sinking in 1912. After several presentations across Europe, it is being shown for the first time in the French capital.
Set across 3,000 m², the exhibition combines historical documents, reconstructions and immersive installations. The tour begins with a reproduction of the Southampton quay, where visitors, equipped with a boarding pass, gradually enter the ship’s world. An original sound design accompanies the visit, blending orchestral music with port atmospheres.
Throughout the spaces, different areas of the Titanic are reconstructed, from third-class cabins to first-class lounges. Period objects, reproductions and documentary content provide multiple perspectives on life on board. Certain elements, such as a lifeboat or a reproduction of the iceberg, contribute to the exhibition’s staging.
The exhibition also incorporates interactive experiences, with virtual and augmented reality installations allowing visitors to explore the ship and its wreck. One immersive sequence notably pays tribute to the Titanic’s orchestra. A dedicated area also offers activities tailored to young audiences.
Between a documentary approach and immersive scenography, The Legend of the Titanic offers a sensitive and visual account of this early-20th-century event.
