Info
Daði Freyr brings his Too Much, Not Enough tour to MTELUS in Montréal on October 12, 2026. Icelandic-born and Berlin-based, he shapes a crisp, melodic electro-pop that blends synthpop, disco-pop and a touch of funk. Clear synth lines, elastic grooves and straight-to-the-point lyrics set the tone, with that offbeat humor that runs through his writing.
Before going solo, he cut his teeth with RetRoBot in Reykjavík, then moved to Berlin in 2014 to study production and music management. An EP (Næsta skref) in 2017 and the album & Co. in 2019 laid the foundations. Visibility exploded with Daði & Gagnamagnið and the earworm Think About Things, selected for Eurovision 2020, followed by 10 Years when he represented Iceland in 2021.
Since then, Daði Freyr has toured across Europe and the US, dropped the Welcome EP in 2021 and the album I Made an Album in 2023. On stage, expect tight, dance-friendly arrangements, stacked harmonies and synth hooks that carry the room. Between his recent tracks and the songs that put him on the map, the set navigates catchy pop refrains and warm electronics built for moving together, without overcomplicating the vibe.
