Tresor Talk - Penser La Nuit: Cultures Club À Paris & Berlin

On Saturday, April 11, from 8:30 PM to 10:30 PM, Mia Mao will host a roundtable discussion as part of the 35th anniversary of the Berlin club Tresor. The discussion will examine club culture from artistic, socio-political and economic perspectives through the prism of the Paris/Berlin dialogue.

While electronic cultures have shaped the nocturnal identities of many metropolises for several decades, Berlin and Paris embody two often opposing models. On one hand, a European techno capital whose scene is recognized as cultural heritage; on the other, a city where nightlife stakeholders operate within a framework of constant negotiation with public authorities.

The event will bring together artists, programmers and observers of the electronic scene to explore what structures the nights in these two cities: from spaces of musical experimentation to political issues, and through the communities and urban imaginaries that club culture builds in both Berlin and Paris.
