Celtic Legends

Celtic Legends brings together dancers, musicians and singers in a show where Irish tradition is experienced live. On April 11, 2026, Le Phare in Saint-Coulomb hosts the company for a performance conceived as a close dialogue between tap dance and live music.

On stage, Jacintha Sharpe’s choreographies link precise ensemble work with percussive solos, percussive rhythms and more flowing lines, with a back-and-forth between group formations and intimate moments. On the sound side, an acoustic quintet sets the scene: uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar. Under the musical direction of Sean McCarthy, the arrangements revisit reels, jigs and ballads, playing on contrasts between driving pulses and more measured melodies. No gimmicks or playback—just the impact of the steps, the texture of the instruments and an intimacy that has been part of the project’s DNA since the early 2000s.

Designed for the stage, the format emphasizes transmission and the balance between rhythmic virtuosity and musical storytelling, with a contemporary, accessible Celtic repertoire rooted in the moment. It is an invitation to enter the heart of gesture and sound, carried by a team experienced in major touring.
