Komodor arrives at l’I.Boat in Bordeaux on April 11, 2026. Born in Douarnenez, the five-piece crafts a raw, organic rock—tense yet groovy—where guitars intersect with finely honed vocal harmonies. Rooted in the 70s legacy without nostalgia, the band draws on MC5, Bowie and T. Rex to produce a sound that feels contemporary, electric and airy. Their debut album, Nasty Habits (2021), established a blunt, nervy framework; the second, more nuanced and introspective, broadens the palette and dynamics.

On stage, Komodor plays with tension and release: fuzzed riffs, clearer passages, driving backing vocals, and a rhythm section that pushes forward without heaviness. Seasoned by bills like Freak Valley Fest, Motocultor and Fête du Bruit, they move as a unit, with a direct sense of songcraft and arrangements that leave space.
