Celtic Legends

On 12 February 2027 at M.A.CH 36 in Déols, Celtic Legends celebrates its 25th anniversary with a new show. The Irish company brings together dancers, musicians and singers for a journey to the heart of Irish dance. For nearly two hours, step-dancing, ensemble numbers and solos unfold to choreographies by Jacintha Sharpe, conceived to sustain an ongoing dialogue between dance and live music. The music is played entirely by five musicians under the direction of Sean McCarthy: uilleann pipes, penny whistle, fiddle, bodhrán and guitar set the sonic scene.

Reels, jigs and ballads follow one another with arrangements that alternate rhythmic drive and breathing space, supporting the stage without weighing it down. Born on the road and polished in major venues, Celtic Legends offers a compact, acoustic format in which every step answers the melody. This anniversary tour puts the project’s DNA back in the spotlight: collective energy, precise footwork and the textured timbre of traditional instruments, delivered live by a company that plays and dances as one.
