Info
Greg Zlap will take the stage at Le Grand Rex on October 14, 2026. Born in Warsaw as Grzegorz Szlapczyński and settled in France in the late 1980s, he is a self-taught harmonica player and singer who draws a clear line between blues, rock and pop. His playing, highly melodic, places the harmonica as much at the heart of songs as in more electric settings, far from a mere color effect.
A studio and live musician, he built a solid career alongside Murray Head, Florent Pagny, Eddy Mitchell and composer Vladimir Cosma, before spending nearly a decade in Johnny Hallyday’s band on major tours across France. Greg Zlap then explored a wide range of styles, from the chanson of Michel Jonasz to the pop-rock of Archimède, including collaborations with Madame Monsieur, Klingande and -M-.
On stage, he unfolds this open palette: amplified blues, rock energy, the hooks of French chanson and contemporary textures. Since Rock It (2020), he has continued to bring the harmonica to the forefront, serving direct, melodic songs. At Le Grand Rex in Paris, this crossed approach comes fully into its own, between groove, a strong sense of motif and sung lines that let the instrument breathe.
