On 30 May 2026 at the Casino de Paris, Shkoon presents Traces Tour. Born from the meeting of Syrian singer and pianist Ameen Khayer and German producer Thorben Diekmann, the German–Syrian duo has forged a language in which Arabic lyrics, motifs drawn from Syrian folk tradition and European electronic music answer one another. On stage, voice and piano provide the through-line while downtempo, deep house, dub and hip‑hop textures outline the rhythmic framework. Oriental melodies mingle with percussion, with room left for improvisation to stretch, accelerate or suspend the flow according to the energy of the moment.
Shkoon’s live performance blurs the lines between club music, Arabic song and traditional repertoire without attempting to hierarchize its influences. It features the carefully honed songwriting from their studio releases, from "Rima" to "Masrahiya", reactivated in real time through a play of nuance and stage-oriented arrangements. Traces Tour foregrounds this tension between pulse and narrative, a constant back-and-forth between familiar motifs and rougher electronic textures. At the Casino de Paris, Shkoon unfolds a set in which the warmth of the vocal timbres, the piano’s harmonic progressions and the rhythmic loops converge toward a single horizon, conceived both for listening and for movement.
