Info
On October 16, 2026, The Bones of J.R. Jones takes over Petit Bain in Paris. Behind that name, American Jonathon Linaberry leads a solo project at the crossroads of folk, blues and Americana. Raised in upstate New York and based in the Catskills, he writes songs shaped by the road, nature and introspection. In concert, he performs as a one-man band: a frank, direct voice, alternating guitar and banjo, with minimal percussion to keep the tempo.
The set draws from his entire discography, from Dark Was the Yearling and Spirit’s Furnace to Ones To Keep Close, including Slow Lightning, his 2023 album that seeks a balance between electric tension and spare arrangements. The songs move between acoustic ballads and blues-driven pulses, sliding from a dusty riff to a more stripped-down melody without losing cohesion.
On stage, the construction is straightforward and organic: on-the-fly instrument changes, skeletal rhythmic patterns, and space left for breathing. A focused and sensitive performance, conceived for the intimacy of a small venue, where voice, strings and subtlety are at the heart of the moment.
