On April 3, 2026, at the Forum in Vauréal, Los Tres Puntos put ska-punk back at the heart of the live show. Formed in the mid-1990s, they blend crisp off‑beats, nervy tempos and forward brass with French-language vocals that retain a punk tension without relinquishing ska’s suppleness. The songs, conceived for the stage, roll on precise collective arrangements, sitting between rocksteady echoes and reggae drive. You can feel the energy of the alternative circuits, direct songwriting and a clear identity shaped over tours and encounters on ska, punk and reggae bills.
Alongside them, 8°6 Crew champions a strand more firmly rooted in the Jamaican repertoires of the 1960s and 1970s. The band navigates the dry energy of ska, the more measured tempos of rocksteady and a restrained reggae, propelled by a brass section and a rhythm section with a clean groove. True to rude boy codes and skinhead reggae, the sound remains melodic and pared down, with touches of soul that tighten the arrangements without weighing them down. On stage, the balance between pulse and melody bridges tradition and the present, making for an evening where the two approaches to ska respond to one another without stepping on each other’s toes.
