Info
On June 3, 2026 at La Scala in Paris, Lou Trotignon presents Mérou, a one-person show in which they recount, with humour and clarity, their transition and non-binarity. Assigned female at birth, Lou voices their disagreement, talks about testosterone, striptease, first experiences in the queer scene, and poses simple, direct questions: should one remain what they were said to be, can one reinvent their body, their way of loving, and write their own story.
The evening opens with an immersive exhibition, produced in collaboration with the LGBTQI Archives Center in Paris. Visitors move through fragments of memory—voices, images, struggles—a living genealogy that situates the performance within a collective thread. Then Lou takes the mic and unfolds Mérou, a stage narrative that blends stand-up, intimate confession and movement, without detours or pathos, to share a personal and political experience in the first person.
Before Mérou, cabaret artists from MAISON FURIEUSE take the stage for opening performances. It’s a way of setting the energy of the evening and linking the exhibition, the spoken word and the live show around Lou Trotignon, an emerging figure on the queer and stand-up scenes.
