Info
On 19 June 2026 at La Scala in Paris, Lou Trotignon presents Mérou, a one-person show in which they candidly recount their journey of transition. Assigned female at birth, Lou explains why that assignment didn’t fit and unfolds on stage the concrete and intimate steps of this upheaval: beginning testosterone, a striptease as an act of reclaiming power, and the exploration of queer spaces. Between stand-up, narrative and direct address, Lou questions what shapes us and what we choose: gender, the body, love, and the possibility of rewriting one’s own story.
Around the performance, Lou teams up with the Paris LGBTQI Archives Center for an immersive pre-show exhibition: fragments of memory, voices, images and traces of struggle that echo the stage narrative. Then comes Mérou, preceded by performances from cabaret artists of Maison Furieuse. The whole evening is conceived by and centered around Lou Trotignon, where the stage becomes a space for transmission, sharing and for putting a lived experience into perspective.
