Lou Trotignon « Mérou »

On June 9, 2026 at La Scala, Lou Trotignon presents Mérou, a show that turns the question of gender on its head. At birth, a decision was made for them; today, Lou tells how they took back control. With a direct sense of humour, they recount the stages of their transition: testosterone, first stripteases, the discovery of the queer world. As the narrative unfolds, questions that many people ask arise: must we be what we were told to be, how do we reinvent our bodies, and what becomes of love when the rules change?

Before the doors open, an immersive exhibition created with the Paris LGBTQI Archives Center kicks off the evening: fragments of memory, archival material, voices and images weave a living genealogy. Then the stage is given to cabaret performances by MAISON FURIEUSE as a prelude to the show. Mérou thus crosses intimate storytelling, humour and collective histories, for an evening of memory, performance and celebration.
