Wafande

Between reggae pulse, urban pop and soul with dancehall edges, Wafande has been shaping a sound that links Denmark, France and Africa since the early 2010s. First noticed with Gi' Mig Et Smil in 2011, then En Anden and Uartig, he sings in Danish over supple rhythms and pop-leaning refrains, with a reggae-informed phrasing anchored in contemporary production. On stage, that blend leans into groove and melody: choruses made to echo back, basslines that roll, and a voice that shifts from croon to toast with ease. The album Nyt Land (2014) set the balance between songcraft, Caribbean accents and modern beats; the Grand Danois EP and the Black Dylan project with producer Nuplex pushed the mix further while keeping the same urban-soul-reggae backbone.

Wafande brings this repertoire to Pavillonen in Grenaa, Denmark, on 10 October 2026. Expect a set that moves across these chapters, from early singles to newer cuts, carried by warm arrangements and a tight live feel.
