Laurent Gerra se met à table

On 11 February 2027 at the Carré des Docks Le Havre Normandie, in Le Havre, Laurent Gerra presents Se met à table, a new chapter in his cabaret-style satire. A mimic with a solid vocal range, he strings together voices and characters to lampoon politicians, singers, TV and film personalities, and the tribes of today — vegans included. Between sketches and songs, he revisits current events with musical pastiche, popular nods and clever subversions.

On stage, Gerra favors precision: calibrated timbres, well-captured tics and razor-sharp lines. The pace is that of a revue, moving from one platform to the next without warning, between sharp portraits, sung numbers and biting asides. There is that taste for music-hall that runs through his work, with arrangements that serve the impersonation as much as the gag. Taken together, the show is a multi-course offering: hot-button topics, small media quirks and contemporary foibles examined closely, all delivered through a palette of voices that is the very spice of the performance.
